The four-year public institution in Geneseo enrolled 5,652 students in fall 2017, including 5,556 in undergraduate and 96 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 1 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (75 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (8 percent).

The school admitted 72 percent of the 8,789 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 21 percent enrolled.
