4.6 percent of LIU Brooklyn students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 4.6 percentage of LIU Brooklyn students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

LIU Brooklyn has 3,945 undergraduate students, of which 70 percent are women and 30 percent are men, and a total student body of 6,982 students. Of these students, 119 men and 199 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at LIU Brooklyn with the most participants are soccer (48), track and field, indoor (47) and track and field, outdoor (47).
