CUNY Medgar Evers College enrolls 6,638 undergrads


At CUNY Medgar Evers College, 57 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 69 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Brooklyn enrolled 6,638 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 6.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (73 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (18 percent).
