Cost of college went up for all students at St Lawrence University


Tuition and fees rose 3.5 percent for 2018-19 at St Lawrence University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York students paid $54,846 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,856 more than the $52,990 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 695 students received grants or scholarships totaling $24.1 million and 407 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.9 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,522), 2,355 students used grants or scholarships totaling $79.6 million, and 1,354 students took out $8.9 million in federal student loans.
